December 29th, 2015: My life changed forever

That day, I suffered an esophageal rupture—a catastrophic event that left me with a tremendous amount of challenges to face. After undergoing a successful thoracic surgery, I spent two weeks in the Intensive Recovery unit, connected to eight different tubes, unable to eat or drink. My weight dropped from 215 lbs to 170 lbs in a matter of weeks, leaving me physically weak and battling digestive issues that would last for years. But I refused to let it define me. Staying down was never even a thought. Two months later, I returned to training, and by the summer and fall of that year, I was back on the football field.

The years following were a rollercoaster of growth, setbacks, and resilience:

  • Gastro Paralysis: My stomach refused to function properly.

  • Injuries: A broken finger, a torn bicep, and countless months sidelined. •

  • Atrophy and Recovery: Growing stronger only to lose progress due to complications

Up and down, up and down—for over six years.But I wouldn’t accept anything less than what I wanted. Today, I stand in the best shape of my life—stronger than ever, mentally and physically. My transformation wasn’t just about my body; it was about the refusal to give up.
